Sunny Leone has been signed on as the face of energy drink XXX owned by actor-entrepreneur Sachiin Joshi. The name of the product makes one wonder if casting an actress of X-rated films was a convinient pun or just a co-incidence. Sachiin insists it’s the latter.

Among the girls, she was the most-talked about and so we zeroed in on her.”

The actor who was most recently seen in Mumbai Mirror adds that her porn star status was not the criteria to cast her and neither do they intend to cash in on her XXX factor.

“Thatis just a coincidence. For us, the three Xs stand for Experience Extreme Excitement and that’s what Sunny represents. Her porn star status has nothing to do with casting her. Sunny is an actress like anyone else.

Anjali to star in Bol Bachchan Remak

The Bollywood blockbuster ‘Bol Bachchan‘ is all set to be remade in Tollywood with Venkatesh in the lead and it is heard that Anjali will be co-starring him.

Though the excited actress was not available for a comment, due to her shooting schedule, her mother confirmed the news. “Yes, Anjali will be doing the lead role in the Telugu remake of ‘Bol Bachchan‘. In fact, they have already started shooting in Hyderbad.”

Anjali’s mother also added that the actress is all geared up to share the screen with Venkatesh yet again, after the successful ‘Seethamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’.

Venkatesh will be playing the role of Ajay Devgn while Ram will be Abhishek Bachchan’s counterpart in Telugu.We hear that Shahzahn Padamsee of ‘Kanimozhi’ fame will be roped in for the other female lead role.

Anu malik speaks for Priyanka Chopra

Music director Anu Malik, who gave the music for Priyanka Chopra’s first item number ‘Babli Badmaash’ in ” Shootout in Wadala”,said that PC was never willing to use vulgar words or go for skin show in her first ever item song.

It is notable that Babli Badmaash is the first item song of Priyanka which she has done for Sanjay Gupta directed Shootout at Wadala. Speaking on the song, composer Anu Malik said, “I believe they made a lot of songs that didn’t click with Priyanka. Those songs were made by various composers and were rejected by Priyanka. Her brief was that she doesn’t want any vulgar words and or skin-show”. The musician was not the first choice for the music in Sanjay Gupta directed film. Gupta initially called him to do only one song but he ended up doing three songs including the item number. On how the concept of ‘Babli Badmaash’ came about, Malik said, “We were sitting in Sanjay Gupta’s office with lyrics writer Kumar. Suddenly I had a vision of Priyanka in front of me. She is really bubbly. So I used the word Babli.”

It is notable that despite the hullabaloo created around the song, it failed to click the masses and couldn’t even score half as the success of Munni and Sheila. On the same, Anu feels that a superstar is no sure guarantee of a song’s success as music, catchy lyrics and other factors too play a key role.

Talking about Priyanka’s reaction to the song, Malik said, “Priyanka had called us to her house after listening to the song. She said, ‘I got up humming this tune. Priyanka has a great ear for music.”

Asin wants to do role with a scope to perform

Having starred in big budget movies like ‘Ghajini‘ and ‘Ready‘, it would seem Asin is doing fine in Bollywood but the actress says she now wants to do good, well written roles.In an industry where survival is a difficult task, Asin has managed to give back-to-back super hits. The 27 year old is being called the ‘Queen of 100 crore films’ as five of her six films have crossed the lucky 100 crore number in terms of collection.

And now, the actress says she wants to do roles that give her a scope to showcase her acting prowess.These films, often driven by their male leads, don’t have much for their actresses to do when it comes to performance.

“I have taken a conscious decision about my career. This year I plan to take it little slower. The box office record and 100 crore club, big films, goodcollection- all that has happened.
“I should move forward and try and do more roles which give me more scope to perform. I think it is the right time in my career to take this decision since it is now that I have the freedom to choose my roles,” Asin told .

Asin was singled out for acting her part brilliantly and remained in the memory despite sharing screen space with Aamir Khan. Not surprisingly, she was chosen to star alongside superstars like Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.

Saif Ali Khan to work with Mohit Suri

Filmmaker Mohit Suri, who has worked with many newcomers, is now keen to team up with successful actor Saif Ali Khan in his next film.

Nothing is finalished yet, and he said it is “too early to talk about” the project.

“I am still scripting the film. Yes, I want Saif to be part of the project and talks are on, but I can’t reveal much about the film right now,” said Suri, who launched child artist Kunal Khemu as a full-fledged actor in “Kalyug”, which also marked debut of his sister Smiley.

When asked why he wants Saif, he said: “Saif is a wonderful actor. Besides, I have never worked with any other Khans before. I always rope in actors who suite the role and Saif is best for the role.”

However, the director refused to reveal much about the script, genre or story. “As I said, the project is in its initial stage…let things fall in place, then we can talk about it.”

The 31 year-old has also directed “Woh Lamhe” and “Murder 2″. His next is “Aashiqui 2″.

Rani Mukerji plays a journalist in Bombay Talkies

After playing a feisty journalist in “No one Killed Jessica”, Rani Mukerji will be seen as a journo once again in “Bombay Talkies”, in which she teams up with Randeep Hooda.

Rani Karan, who last worked with Karan in “Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna”, plays a sexually repressed wife and she has done a great job, said the film’s spokesperson.

“Karan is very happy with the outcome. Not only Rani has proved her talent once again, but Randeep, who plays Rani’s husband in the film, has also done a great job,” said a source close to Karan.

Shot in Bandra and Dahisar in Mumbai, the film also stars Saqib Saleem.

“Bombay Talkies” is being made to celebrate the 100 years of Indian cinema. It has four segments directed by Karan, Zoya Akhtar, Dibakar Banerjee and Anurag Kashyap respectively.

Set to release May 13, the first theatrical trailer of “Bombay Talkies” is being unveiled Monday at a multiplex in Mumbai.
